Many people have noticed that the Money Plant (also known as the “money tree” or Crassula ovata) acts as a health indicator. In homes where someone is seriously ill, this plant often shows signs of distress — its leaves may turn yellow, become spotted, or even start peeling slightly. It’s believed that the plant absorbs negative energy, and once the person recovers, the plant begins to thrive again.
But did you know that this amazing plant is like a green pharmacy? The Money Plant has many medicinal properties and can help treat a variety of health issues naturally.
Here are some powerful healing uses of the Money Plant:
- Cold Sores (Herpes on the lips):
Squeeze juice from a few Money Plant leaves and apply it directly to the sore. You can also place a gauze soaked in the juice on the affected area. Repeat every 30 minutes. - Arthritis and Arthrosis:
Squeeze the juice from 10–15 leaves and rub it gently onto your joints before bed. - Hemorrhoids:
Place a cut Money Plant leaf directly on the affected area. It provides almost immediate pain relief. - Burns, Bruises, Wounds, and Abscesses:
Crush the leaves into a pulp, apply to the injured area, and cover with a bandage. Repeat every 2–3 hours.
- Peptic Ulcer (Stomach or Duodenum):
On an empty stomach, chew and swallow two well-washed Money Plant leaves (chew thoroughly). - Pyelonephritis and Cystitis (Kidney and Bladder Inflammation):
Crush 5 leaves, pour 1 cup of hot water over them, let steep for 1 hour, then strain. Drink 1 tablespoon three times a day, 15 minutes before meals. - Tonsillitis and Sore Throat (Inflamed Tonsils):
Squeeze juice from 10 leaves, dilute in 1 cup of water, and gargle. Repeat 3–5 times a day.
Important Reminder!
The Money Plant contains a high concentration of arsenic-like compounds. While it’s safe in small quantities, do not overuse it for internal consumption, as overdosing may negatively impact your health.
Always consult a doctor before using any natural remedy regularly.
