Garlic has a wide range of medicinal properties and is used to treat many conditions. It is especially effective for diseases of the musculoskeletal system.
In cases of arthritis, arthrosis, sciatica, gout, rheumatism, and osteochondrosis, garlic-based preparations can be used both internally and externally.
Important Note Before Internal Use:
Garlic should not be used if you have:
- Acute inflammatory kidney disease
- Gastritis or peptic ulcers with high stomach acidity
- Pancreatitis
- Hemorrhoids in the acute stage
- Pregnancy (consult a doctor before use)
Garlic Tincture for Joint and Osteochondrosis Problems:
- Peel and finely chop 300 grams of garlic
- Place in a dark glass bottle
- Add 0.5 liters of vodka
- Let it sit in a dark, room-temperature place for 10 days, then strain
- Store in a cool, dark place
For rheumatism, gout, and arthritis: Take 20 drops of the tincture with half a glass of milk, three times daily, 20 minutes before meals, for 1 month.
Take a 10-day break, then repeat the course if needed.
For osteochondrosis and arthrosis: Use the same method, but increase the dose to 30 drops per serving.
Do not use this tincture during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or if you have angina.
Garlic Tincture with Lemon and Chili Pepper:
Mix:
- 300 g crushed garlic
- 300 g ground lemon (with peel)
- 1–2 chopped medium chili peppers
- Add 0.5 liters of vodka, seal tightly
- Let it sit for 10 days in a dark place at room temperature
- Strain the mixture
Use: Take 1 tablespoon of the tincture three times a day, 30 minutes before meals, and simultaneously rub it into the painful area.
Duration: 1 month. After a 10-day break, repeat if necessary.
Do not use in case of acute gastrointestinal, kidney, or liver diseases, or during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Garlic with Apple Cider Vinegar for Joint Pain:
- Peel and chop 7–8 large garlic cloves
- Add 0.5 liters of apple cider vinegar
- Add 100 ml of vodka, stir well
- Let it sit in a dark, cool place for 3 weeks, shaking regularly
- Strain after 3 weeks
Use: Apply to painful joints to relieve pain and inflammation. This remedy is also effective for sprains.
Garlic and Lemon Water for Joint Health:
- Grate 4 garlic cloves and 4 medium lemons (with peel, but without seeds)
- Mix and pour 1 liter of boiling water over the blend
- Let sit for 24 hours, then strain
Use: Take 1 teaspoon three times a day, 30 minutes before meals
